FAQ - Players & Parents
What does NextRep Premium get me?
- Avoid all booking fees ($6 per session)
- Allows you to request trainers to custom locations (e.g., your backyard)
- A NextRep Premium subscription covers all of your children, meaning there is no additional cost to have more than one child benefiting from your NextRep Premium subscription.
How much do trainers cost?
- Trainers set their own rates, so prices will vary by trainer.
- Generally speaking, we expect small group rates and event prices to be lower than one-on-one rates as there is less individual attention.
How are the trainers vetted?
- NextRep’s trainers are strictly committed, current, and recently graduated college athletes.
- NextRep leverages Stripe, an industry-leading, third-party payment processing platform. As part of the trainer’s onboarding process with Stripe, they’re required to complete identity verification.
- NextRep has to approve all trainers before letting them on the platform – this involves an analysis of their merit to be an effective trainer.
How do payments work?
- All payments are processed on the NextRep app via Stripe.
- Payments for training are not processed until the session is completed and confirmed by the trainer.
- After completed sessions, users have the option to tip their trainers.
- NextRep covers all payment processing fees.
How do the group sessions work?
- Users can invite their teammates and friends to small group sessions, done seamlessly on the app.
- Payment is processed from each individual participant, negating the headache of splitting the cost of a group session.
How do we find the right trainer?
- Similar to booking an Air BnB, users can filter trainers by price, location, availability, and position.
- Trainers will receive star ratings and written reviews from users they’ve trained.
What is the policy around cancellations and no-shows?
- If either party (you or your trainer) cancels outside of 48 hours, then it is automatically processed and accepted by the counterparty.
- If you cancel on your trainer within 48 hours, you will need to provide a reason (weather, injury, personal event, etc.). Your trainer will have the option to accept or deny the cancellation request. If they deny the cancellation, you will be charged $20 that will be paid directly to the trainer.
- If your trainer is a no-show, the trainer will be charged $20 that will be debited into your account.
- If you have a dispute regarding cancellations or no-shows, please submit a request to support@nextrepplatform.com explaining the situation.
What are events?
- Events are effectively clinics that are hosted by trainers on the NextRep platform. Generally, we expect them to be at a lower price point than one-on-one sessions as there will be less individual attention administered during events.
Do parents have to be physically present during our child’s training sessions?
- Yes, we want parents to be physically present during training sessions to ensure safety.
